The Right Focus
We live in a time in History unlike any other. The world has become so fast in pace and we are aware of many of the events happening around the world as they are happening. When we see the financial systems crumbling around us we become aware that the only true security that there is the LORD Jesus Christ. If only 10% of the information that comes to us is through media and internet is true, and I doubt that it is, there is no possible solution to the crisis and terror. We are left with no hope except for Christ. As Christians we should not be in a hopeless state but instead we should be offering hope to the hopeless. If we truly understood our role on this planets as ambassadors from Heaven (2 Cor. 5:20; Phil 3:20) we would be using all that the Holy Spirit has equipped us with to bring the message of Hope everywhere we go.
We tend to spend time looking for ways to make our lives more comfortable rather than seeing things from an eternal prospective. For several decades during I have observed and participated in chasing after every ‘new’ thing going to help us through what often is a self centered life.
Recently, I have become aware that what God is doing in other places is not necessarily what God wants to do in our lives or in our churches. I believe that we can learn from what happens in other situations and even glean principles that can help us but often the things that are “God” in other situations are only distractions to us.
A good example of this is in 2 Kings 2 when Elijah is about to go up in a whirl wind and Elisha has asked for a double portion of the Spirit that is on Elijah. Not long after Elijah says, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” a chariot of fire pulled by horses of fire appears and goes between the two of them. I contend that the awesome sight of this chariot was a God event that would have wowed the best of us, but to Elisha it was a distraction. How many of us and how many churches have been caught up in something that is a God event somewhere at the expense of losing the focus of what God has intended for our churches and our lives. Remember, we are here representing the purposes of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

June Prayer Update
Dear Prayer Partners,
We are in the Melbourne Airport about to depart for Singapore and then on to Malaysia.
Our schedule here has been extremely busy and very fruitful with many people encouraged by the Word of the LORD. From Malaysia we will go on to London and then to Scotland before getting back to Atlanta on July 6th at this point in time. We are not sure of the number of meetings we will be having in the near future but will send info when available.
We are very grateful for your support and prayers, please keep it up. The health issues seem to be minimal at this point in time but we appreciate you continuing to cover both of us in Prayer.
We ask that you to pray for:
1) The upcoming meetings in Asia and Great Britain.
2) Traveling Mercies
3) Finances
4) Health
5) Family as we are away
6) The life decisions we are faced with in the next couple of years
7) The LORD give us the rest we need when we return home.
