update

Dear Prayer Partners,

 

Tommie's (Monette's Mother's) surgery went well and we are hopeful to bring her home today or tomorrow.  There have been a few little problems but at 86 years of age it is not totally unexpected. Yesterday was quite a day with the Dr. deciding to send her to another hospital in Atlanta for the surgery as they had more heart surgeons and back-up there.  Thank you so much for your prayers.

 

We pray you all have a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.  We have had a full and fruitful 2012 and are looking forward to and even better 2013. (See the schedule below)  We realize all that we contribute to the Kingdom of God is a result not just of what we do but of the support we have from all of you and are so very thankful.

 

We appreciate your prayers and support.  We are aware that without you standing in the gap for us things would be much different so thank you so very much.

 

Please continue to pray for:

1)     Traveling Mercies.    (We are scheduled to head back to Australia on the 8^th of January)

2)     The upcoming meetings.

3)      Finances (This is a major concern at the moment)

4)      Health, Strength and Energy

5)      Family and friends as we see so many in need at this time.

6)      Wisdom in planning for the future

Prayer need

Dear Prayer Partners,

 

We have had an interesting 48 Hours with Monette''s mom arriving here on Tuesday afternoon.  Monette and her sister were busy catching up with her mom and then last night after another busy day of talking shopping etc her mom began to be faint.  Monette's brother and wife had showed up as well and they were all talking of family and looking at photos.  After her brother left her Mom, Tommie Golden, began to feel worse so after a trip to the emergency room she was admitted to hospital at about 5 a.m.  They could not get her heart to get into rhythm. At this point they have schedule surgery tomorrow (21 Dec) to implant a pacemaker.  This is normally a relatively simple procedure, but because Tommie has a mechanical valve in her heart it becomes much more involved.  Because of this valve she has been taking coumadin to keep her blood thin so they have to get her off that to slow bleeding and then get it adjusted back once the surgery is finished.  What normally would be a one day procedure is now anticipated to take 4 or 5 days in the hospital.  Please pray that all goes well and that the LORD will heal her or give her a miraculous recovery.

 

In the next update I will try to give the schedule for the first part of 2013.

We are on our way back to Georgia.  We minister in Spokane this weekend and then get to Georgia on Wednesday night (28th).

 

I thought I should send a quick email to let everyone know that the latest report on JoAnna and the baby is that they cannot find anything wrong at all.  WE thank God for his faithfulness in answering your and our prayers.

Prayer Partners,

 

Thanks for all the prayers for JoAnna and the baby.  They have decided that she may just have gestational diabetes which can be a build up to pre-eclampsia and are waiting to re-evaluate in two weeks.  This is an answer to prayer and we ask that you keep praying.

 

We are now in North Queensland having had a wonderful and fruitful time in Emerald with Christian Covenant Community.  

 

Monette is feeling rejuvenated and refreshed which is another answer to your prayers.  The schedule is pretty full as you can see below but we look forward to being a blessing to the churches in the region.

Please pray!

Dear Prayer Partners,

 

Our daughter, JoAnna and her husband Beau are expecting a baby boy to arrive around the 23rd of January.  She has just been told by the doctor that she may have Preeclampsia and that would require them to take the baby right away which would be 3 months pre-mature. Please pray that the LORD touch her and get everything back to normal.

 

We have had a great start to our time in Australia with the LORD being very gracious as we ministered to iHeart Church, Open House Christian Church and Indonesian Praise Centre. The prophetic seemed to flow well, confirming many things and callings in the churches.  The preached word, particularly in Open House, seemed to be very timely.  WE also had a meeting with the leaders at City Wide Church which was not on the schedule but we enjoy being instant in season or out of season.

 

During the weekdays Monette has been helping with Juanita and the grandchildren as Juanita recovers from the Caesarean section birth of Caleb their third child and first son. I (John) have helped a bit but Monette has worked hard trying to do all that needs to be done in taking care of the family and running to doctors' appointments etc.  She has done well but it has left her exhausted most days so please pray that she is energized and anointed as we head north.

 

We are leaving tomorrow for Queensland where we will be busy for the next 17 days.  Please prayer for safe travels and the upcoming ministry.  The schedule is below.
